The Philadelphia Eagles are actively seeking a new offensive coordinator, with former Buccaneers OC Josh Grizzard being a candidate for an interview scheduled on Monday, according to Jordan Schultz.
The list of potential candidates for the Eagles’ OC position has seen several noteworthy names. Former Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury has been considered, alongside Falcons OC Zac Robinson, who has already interviewed. Ole Miss OC Charlie Weis Jr is expected to be a popular choice, while Giants OC Mike Kafka has been interviewed as well. Colts OC Jim Bob Cooter’s candidacy has been requested, and Eagles’ current Pass Game Coordinator Bobby Slowik is also among those being considered.
Grizzard, just 35 years old, brings a diverse background to the table. Originating from Lizard Lick, North Carolina, he began his coaching career in collegiate football at Yale and Duke before advancing to the NFL. He joined the Miami Dolphins in 2017 as an offensive quality control coach and later became their wide receivers coach. Grizzard transitioned to the Buccaneers in 2024, starting as a passing game coordinator and earning a promotion to offensive coordinator for the 2025 season. During his time with Tampa Bay, the offense struggled, ranking 18th in scoring and 21st in total offense, including low berths of 21st in rushing and 20th in passing.
As the Eagles search for a new offensive leader, the potential hiring of Grizzard could mark a new chapter in their offensive strategy, especially as the team looks to build on its recent successes. Aiming for improvement, the Eagles are likely considering a mix of experience and innovative approaches that Grizzard and other candidates may offer. This hiring process reflects the Eagles’ commitment to finding the right fit to enhance their offensive capabilities moving forward.
