The Philadelphia Eagles have unveiled their inactives list ahead of their Week 11 NFL matchup against the Detroit Lions. The team will be without several players, including running back A.J. Dillon, offensive lineman Drew Kendall, cornerback Mac McWilliams, defensive tackle Ty Robinson, and emergency quarterback Sam Howell.
Dillon, who is expected to be a healthy scratch for the third time in four games, finds his position potentially at risk as he trails behind Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby, and Will Shipley on the depth chart. Likewise, Kendall returns to inactive status with Cam Jurgens back in the starting offensive lineup, relegating him to the ninth spot on the offensive line.
McWilliams continues to be a healthy scratch as well, having seen limited action with just seven defensive snaps, all during garbage time, in addition to 14 special teams snaps. Robinson has also been inactive, playing only 35 defensive snaps and 15 special teams snaps as a rookie. Howell is designated as the emergency third quarterback and will be available only if both Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee are unable to play.
In a positive development for the Eagles, cornerback Jakorian Bennett is active for the first time since Week 3 after being activated from injured reserve earlier this week, although he is not expected to start. Adoree’ Jackson has been confirmed in the starting lineup, as seen in the team’s earlier lineup announcement video. However, Willie Lampkin was not activated in time from IR to participate in the game.
On the side of the Detroit Lions, there are no unexpected inactives. All six players ruled questionable on the latest injury report are active, including cornerback Amik Robertson, who has recovered from a hamstring injury and will start against the Eagles.
The game promises to be an exciting clash, with both teams looking to solidify their positions as the season progresses. The Eagles will need to rely on their active roster to navigate this matchup successfully and maintain their competitiveness in the league.
