Senior forward Tarence Guinyard has emerged as a key player, ranking first in the conference in assists per game with 5.57, and third in scoring with an average of 16.2 points per game. In the matchup against St. Bonaventure, Guinyard tied a Duquesne single-game record by dishing out 12 assists, while also scoring 12 points, marking his first double-double on the Bluff.
Additionally, freshman Clayton Adams, junior guard and standout scorer, continues to contribute significantly for the Dukes, averaging 17.2 points over the past games and joining Guinyard in providing a vital scoring presence. The Dukes have converted an impressive number of three-point shots, recently making 11 against St. Bonaventure, showcasing their offensive capabilities.
The last match against Rhode Island ended with Duquesne securing a 67-55 victory, and they enter the upcoming game on a positive trajectory, having won three consecutive encounters in the series. This season also marks the 110th year of Duquesne basketball, a notable milestone for the program.
