Duke Basketball Scores Big with 2026 Star Commitment!

Sebastian Wilkins, a highly sought-after forward in the 2026 recruiting class, has officially committed to Duke basketball. Standing at 6-foot-8 and weighing 215 pounds, Wilkins hails from Brewster Academy in New Hampshire and originally from Massachusetts. He made his announcement on the 247Sports YouTube channel, selecting Duke over Maryland, a former rival in the ACC, on May 23.

During his announcement, he expressed excitement for joining the Blue Devils, stating, “Go Blue Devils” while showcasing a Duke t-shirt emblazoned with “Dream Biggest.” Wilkins emphasized his work ethic and potential impact, mentioning that head coach Jon Scheyer is gaining “someone who’s gonna work for whatever he gets” and that “the talent is gonna show for that.”

In a notable move, Wilkins plans to reclassify to the class of 2025, indicating his intent to join Duke ahead of the 2025-26 season. He becomes the fifth recruit in Duke’s current class, which now boasts promising talents like Cameron and Cayden Boozer, Nikolas Khamenia, and international standout Dame Sarr.

Duke’s roster looks promising as it aims to build on a successful previous season, where the team not only swept the ACC championships but also made a strong run to the Final Four. Key returners include Caleb Foster, Isaiah Evans, Maliq Brown, Patrick Ngongba, and Darren Harris, all of whom will contribute to Duke’s quest for continued excellence in the upcoming season.

With Wilkins’s addition, Duke further strengthens its lineup, underlining its commitment to attracting top-tier talent to compete at the highest levels. The future looks bright for both Wilkins and the Duke basketball program as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
