The Swire Shipping Fijian Drua is ramping up preparations for the 2026 rugby campaign by unveiling an exciting pre-season schedule that includes noteworthy matches against the Chiefs and a provincial selection team. Head coach Glen Jackson has highlighted these matches as critical components of their training ahead of their first match against Moana Pasifika in Lautoka on February 14, 2026.
The team will travel to New Zealand to face the Chiefs and will also participate in the Sun Bell Provincial Challenge against a selection of top players from Fiji’s provincial competitions in Lautoka on February 6. In addition to the competitive matches, a small group from the Drua Academy is set to visit Ovalau from November 19-21 as part of the club’s community and development program. Jackson remarked on the significance of this outreach, stating, “Although we would love to bring more players to Ovalau like we did for Kadavu, commitments with the Flying Fijians limit our numbers, making this visit special.”
