As the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific competition intensifies, Swire Shipping Fijian Drua head coach Glen Jackson emphasizes the importance of internal belief over external pressures. With teams vying for a top-six finish, the expectations surrounding results have started to grow, but Jackson assures that the squad is focused on representing their nation with pride.

Jackson highlights that despite the external noise regarding their performance, the team is dedicated to showcasing their capabilities and making their country proud. “Now everyone’s scrapping for the top six. As Frank said, we shut out the noise around us. It’s there. We’re trying to make this country proud. We’re trying to show these young men how good they are,” he stated.

Acknowledging the scrutiny that comes even in the early stages of the competition, Jackson commended his players for their resilience. “Unfortunately, sometimes we have to try and shut out the noise because it’s round two and already there’s a lot of doubt,” he remarked. He further expressed that the pride associated with wearing the Drua jersey is evident in how the team performs on the field. “I think what the boys showed today is what it means to pull on the Drua jersey and do well,” he added.

Looking ahead, the Drua are set to face the Brumbies at 3.35 pm next Saturday in Ba, with fans able to catch the match live on FBC Sports. The team’s commitment and focus are inspiring as they strive to rise through the ranks and make an impact in the league.
