The match started with high intensity, as Maignan was called into action early, saving a shot from Tzolīs in the 2nd minute. Jutglà also attempted to score but shot over the bar shortly after. Leão had two attempts but couldn’t find the back of the net. Maignan was again tested in the 7th minute, denying another effort from Tzolīs. Following a corner, Ordóñez hit the crossbar. We began to find our rhythm, with Fofana taking a shot in the 15th minute that just missed. Leão showcased great build-up play in the 28th minute, setting up Pulisic, who was thwarted by Mignolet. In the 33rd minute, Theo and Leão worked well together, but Ordóñez managed to block Theo’s shot. We finally broke the deadlock in the 36th minute with a spectacular corner from Pulisic that Gabbia barely missed, giving us a 1-0 lead. Just before halftime, our advantage grew as Onyedika received a straight red card for his tackle on Reijnders.

The second half resumed with Leão assisting Theo, whose shot went over the bar. Club Brugge equalized in the 51st minute when Sabbe’s shot evaded Maignan. Our persistence paid off in the 71st minute when Reijnders scored again, this time assisted by Chukwueze, igniting the San Siro crowd.

In the final moments, Musah and Camarda came onto the pitch. The spectators celebrated in the 87th minute as Camarda headed what looked like a goal, only to have it ruled offside. The match concluded after a tense final few minutes.
