Krispy Kreme is celebrating the 65th anniversary of the iconic Barbie brand by introducing a limited-time collection of four doughnuts inspired by the beloved doll. The announcement was made on Tuesday.
The new doughnuts include:
– Barbie Pink Doughnut: This features an original glazed doughnut topped with pink buttercream, sparkly pink sugar, and Barbie sunglasses.
– Malibu Dream Party Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Cake Batter Kreme, dipped in Malibu blue icing, graham sand, and adorned with a piece from a Barbie DreamHouse.
– Barbie Berries ‘n Kreme Doughnut: An unglazed doughnut filled with Strawberry Kreme, dipped in white icing, drizzled with pink and purple buttercream, and decorated with a Barbie heart.
– Barbie Sweet 65th Doughnut: An original glazed doughnut coated in chocolate icing and topped with Barbie Sweet 65th sprinkles.
Dave Skena, Global Chief Brand Officer for Krispy Kreme, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating, “We’re bringing Barbie’s iconic fashions to life through delicious doughnuts that are sure to thrill Barbie and Krispy Kreme fans alike.”
The Barbie-themed doughnuts will be available at participating Krispy Kreme locations, with select grocery stores also offering a 6-pack of the special edition treats. California alone hosts 40 Krispy Kreme outlets, according to the company’s directory.
