Her goal was to highlight “the side of my grandpa that people don’t often see.”
This was Kai’s first major political appearance, and her speech left Donald Trump beaming with pride.

She concluded by telling her grandfather, “Grandpa you are such an inspiration and I love you.”
Kai ended her speech with Trump’s slogan, “He truly wants the best for this country and he will fight every single day to make America great again,” which was met with cheers.
After her 3-minute, 30-second speech, Kai hugged her father as he took the stage. She then joined her family in the stands.

Kai is an avid golfer like her grandfather. Her Instagram is filled with golfing photos and videos, some featuring Donald Trump.
Earlier this year, she played with Bryson DeChambeau and Kyle Berkshire, who praised her swing. In March, she won the ladies club championship at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Kai mentioned their shared passion for golf during her speech, noting how Trump calls her during school to discuss her game. She humorously described how Trump tries to get in her head during their golf games, to which she responds, “I’m a Trump, too.”
