The Miami Dolphins have secured a significant contract extension with defensive tackle Zach Sieler as the 2025 training camp progresses. The agreement, which was initially reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, will keep Sieler with the Dolphins until the 2029 season, underscoring his value as one of the team’s standout players.
The extension is a notable three-year deal worth up to $67.75 million, which includes $44 million guaranteed. Previously, Sieler had $2.28 million guaranteed remaining on his contract for this year, with no guarantees set for 2026. Initially, he was expected to impact the salary cap with $12.4 million in 2025 and $11.5 million in 2026. Notably, the new contract replaces the two void years that existed in his prior deal.
Sieler’s journey began when he was drafted in the seventh round by the Baltimore Ravens in 2018, where he initially spent time on the practice squad and appeared in six games before being released in 2019. The Dolphins claimed him off waivers, and since then, Sieler has become an integral part of the team’s defensive line. He has consistently improved his performance, reaching Pro Bowl caliber and notably recording 10 sacks in each of the past two seasons.
This contract extension reflects the Dolphins’ commitment to building a strong defense around talented players like Sieler, which bodes well for the team’s aspirations in upcoming seasons. His development and on-field success are encouraging signs for Dolphins fans as they look forward to a promising future.
