Disney Fortune Reignited: Heiress Once Again Backs Democrats!

Heiress Abigail Disney announced she will resume her donations to the Democratic Party now that President Joe Biden has ended his reelection campaign.

In a recent email to CNBC, Disney confirmed her decision, stating, “Yes, I will resume supporting,” following Biden’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for the presidential candidacy. Earlier this month, she had declared that she would cease contributions to the party until Biden stepped down, expressing her support for Harris at the time.

Disney praised Harris, highlighting the Vice President’s potential leadership. She emphasized, “We have an excellent Vice President. If Democrats would tolerate any of her perceived shortcomings even one-tenth as much as they have tolerated Biden’s—and let’s not kid ourselves about where race and gender figure in that inequity—if Democrats can find a way to stop quibbling and rally around her, we can win this election by a lot.”

Her earlier decision to hold back donations was a reaction to Biden’s performance during debates, which led to discontent among the party’s elite donors. Reports suggest that pressure from influential supporters and declining donations were factors that influenced Biden’s choice to exit the race.

Additionally, billionaire donor George Soros and his son, Alex Soros, have also backed Harris following Biden’s announcement.
