Disney Destiny pulls back the curtain on its villain-filled debut voyage, unveiling a slate of interactive encounters guests will discover as they sail from Port Everglades.
Grand Hall: a Marvel-inspired centerpiece with a twist
The Grand Hall, already teased as a space that channels Marvel Studios’ Black Panther with a bright, hopeful energy by day, is designed to morph into a mythical realm of mystery at moments. A 360-degree lighting system will react to the presence of characters and can shift to the signature atmospheres of Disney and Marvel villains.
Among the featured transformations is an appearance by Loki, who will actively seek to clear his name while attempting to crown himself ruler of the Disney Destiny. The god of mischief may pop up anywhere on the ship, and guests could find themselves drawn into unexpected adventures—whether invited to a spontaneous competition to prove their devotion to him or asked to interpret “strange foreign rituals of ocean cruising.”
Cruella de Vil: two new experiences and a signature lounge
Cruella de Vil will be more than a villain to spot in passing. The cruise introduces a dedicated piano lounge inspired by the infamous fashionista, along with two new interactive experiences:
– Troublemaking with Cruella: a live show where guests and a piano player collaborate to write a new song about Cruella, aiming to win her favor with their creativity.
– Cruella’s Runway: a fashion showcase with Cruella providing live commentary on guests’ style, and a chance for attendees to craft a more flattering musical tribute to her when the iconic “Cruella de Vil” tune plays aboard.
Dr. Facilier: a playful, card-trick encounter
Artwork revealed in the rollout hints at a new “meet and play” moment with Dr. Facilier, the charmingly sinister conjurer. He may appear in the Grand Hall or his own makeshift parlor, inviting guests to share in a card trick or a bit of sleight of hand as part of his social call.
Maiden voyage and other premieres
The Disney Destiny is scheduled to sail its inaugural voyage on November 20, 2025, departing from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Alongside the villain-centric experiences, the ship will debut a Broadway-style Hercules stage show and a Super Minnie meet-and-greet, expanding the lineup of entertainment for guests of all ages.
