The Bronx Zoo is set to unveil its latest attraction, the World of Darkness, showcasing 25 nocturnal species, with an opening date of Saturday, July 12. A special preview for media is scheduled for Thursday, July 10, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

This unique exhibit invites attendees to experience the lives of nocturnal animals in complete darkness, emphasizing specialized adaptations and behaviors that enable these species to thrive in their nighttime environments. Guests are encouraged to utilize night vision cameras as traditional lighting sources will not be permitted. The exhibit will highlight habitats including tropical forests, wetlands, caves, and deserts, and will feature an array of fascinating species such as sloths, pygmy slow loris, broad-snouted caiman, aye-aye, sand cats, and vampire bats.

Press attendees are advised to arrive between 9:00 and 9:30 AM at the Bronx River Parking area, where they will be directed to the Asia Parking lot nearby. The sneak peek for the media will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the ribbon-cutting at 11:00 AM.

This new addition to the Bronx Zoo promises to provide an exciting and educational experience for visitors, highlighting the mysterious world of nocturnal creatures and their habitats.
