Melissa Fleischut, President & CEO of the New York State Restaurant Association, hailed the legislation as a significant win for the hospitality sector, asserting that it would diminish reservation competition and shield restaurants from costly no-shows.

Despite these legislative measures, the demand for unique and stylish dining experiences continues to outpace supply. Travel advisor Jaclyn Sienna India highlighted the post-pandemic boom in bookings across all sectors, noting that flights, hotels, and restaurants are often at full capacity.
