Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, recently shared that Combs is actively seeking counseling for his drug addiction and anger management issues. As the music mogul awaits sentencing on October 3, following his conviction on two counts related to transportation to engage in prostitution, Agnifilo indicated that the legal team is considering requesting home confinement instead of prison time.

Agnifilo noted that they will likely advocate for the judge to mandate counseling and therapy as part of Combs’ supervised release, stating, “I think he needs it, I think he thinks he needs it.” This comes after Combs entered a “batterer’s program” prior to his arrest last year, demonstrating a proactive stance toward addressing his personal challenges.

While Combs was acquitted of more severe charges involving sex trafficking and racketeering, he remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, having been denied bail since his September 2024 arrest and subsequent conviction.

The attorney confirmed that Combs has therapy sessions secured for when he is eventually released, showing a commitment to rehabilitation and positive change. However, he could face several years behind bars, with sentencing decisions resting with Judge Arun Subramanian, who presided over the federal trial.

This situation highlights the importance of seeking help and accountability, even in high-profile cases. Combs’ willingness to undertake counseling for his issues could potentially lead to a path of recovery and change, providing hope for both his personal life and his contributions to the music industry in the future.
