The trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs entered its third week on May 27 in a Manhattan federal court, where the prosecution continues to present its case regarding alleged sex trafficking and racketeering activities involving the music mogul. On May 28, Combs’ former stylist, Deonte Nash, provided poignant testimony, detailing the emotional and verbal abuse inflicted upon Combs’ on-and-off girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura.
Nash revealed that Combs frequently referred to Ventura with degrading names such as “baby girl,” “bitch,” “slut,” and “ho,” often in the presence of others. This consistent mistreatment reportedly left Ventura feeling “sad” and driven to tears and depression. The stylist noted that Combs’ tone varied from calm to irate when he would utter these insults, and he recognized the emotional toll on Ventura, stating that she would sometimes stay indoors for days.
Additionally, Nash recounted alarming threats made by Combs, claiming he would “beat her ass” and suggested he would distribute intimate videos featuring Ventura. These comments purportedly exacerbated Ventura’s emotional distress.
Earlier in the trial, another witness, Combs’ former assistant Capricorn Clark, indicated that the mogul once arrived at her home with a firearm, allegedly seeking her help to confront rapper Kid Cudi, who had dated Ventura briefly.
Facing serious allegations, Combs has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to life in prison. Currently, he remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
