Diddy on High-Profile Suicide Watch as Legal Battles Escalate

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been placed on a “procedural” suicide watch as he awaits trial on three felony charges related to over a decade of alleged sexual abuse, according to a source. The music executive has been in federal custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York City since Monday, and prison guards are closely monitoring his well-being.

The source referred to the suicide watch as “procedural with high profile clients,” indicating a standard protocol for individuals in such situations. Combs is reportedly remaining strong and focused on his defense.

On Wednesday, a judge denied Combs’ request for bail, though his legal team is exploring further options in hopes of securing his release before trial. The 54-year-old is facing a three-count felony indictment that includes charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for the purpose of prostitution, with incidents dating back to 2008.

Prosecutors allege that Combs leveraged his wealth and influence to orchestrate degrading and sometimes physically abusive sexual encounters described as “freak offs.” These encounters, which allegedly lasted hours or even days, were said to be produced, directed, and recorded by Combs, who allegedly threatened and coerced women and others to satisfy his sexual demands.

Additionally, federal agents reported the seizure of over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and other lubricants from Combs’ residences, which were purportedly used in these sexual acts.
