Derrick Henry, the newly signed running back for the Baltimore Ravens, recently shared insights about his transition from the Tennessee Titans during an interview with Yahoo Sports’ Jason Fitz. Representing Pepsi, Henry reflected on his eight-year stint with the Titans, expressing deep appreciation for the Nashville community and the impact it had on his personal and professional growth.

Discussing the challenges of leaving the Titans, Henry stated, “It’s always tough when you’ve been somewhere for eight years. I have so much love for that city, the organization, and the community.” He acknowledged the support he received from coaches, teammates, and fans during his time in Tennessee.

Henry also touched on the excitement of playing alongside MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, remarking on Jackson’s work ethic and talent. “We all know what type of player he is,” Henry said. He expressed enthusiasm about being teammates, saying he looks forward to achieving success together on the field.

When asked about the skepticism regarding Jackson’s ability to handle injuries and durability throughout his career, Henry noted, “That’s going to be talk; that’s just what happens. All I’m worried about is what I can control, which is playing at a high level.”

As for adapting to the Ravens’ fierce rivalries, notably with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Henry acknowledged that he would soon understand the dynamics and significance of those games, indicating that the rivalry is intense and longstanding.

Henry also highlighted his involvement in Pepsi’s “Make Your Game Day Epic” campaign, which has a gladiator theme, coinciding with the upcoming release of Gladiator Two. He shared his excitement about the campaign and mentioned filming a commercial in Canada with prominent NFL players and personalities, emphasizing that he believes fans will enjoy the new promotional efforts as the 2024 season approaches.
