Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers are reportedly ending their marriage after six years. Phypers submitted a divorce petition to the Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing “irreconcilable differences” and noting that the couple separated on July 4.
Richards, 54, known for her role in “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and Phypers, 49, married in a private ceremony in Malibu in September 2018, a short time after Phypers finalized his previous marriage to actress Nicollette Sheridan. Although the couple does not have children together, Richards has two adult daughters from her prior marriage to Charlie Sheen, as well as a teenage daughter she adopted.
In court filings, Phypers is asking for spousal support, claiming he has not earned income since closing a business last year, and he estimates Richards earns over $250,000 a month from various ventures, including brand endorsements and her content on OnlyFans. He also requested that their assets and debts remain separate.
While Richards has yet to comment publicly on the divorce, she previously stated in the reality series “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things” that she would prefer not to experience divorce again, emphasizing a commitment to maintain a cordial relationship, even in challenging times.
This situation underscores the complexities of relationships in the public eye, where personal challenges become fodder for speculation. As with many celebrity divorces, the hope remains that both Richards and Phypers can navigate this transition amicably.
