Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu emphasized the importance of this new facility, which will significantly bolster the visibility of law enforcement and enhance the capabilities of the Tourism Police Unit in popular visitor areas. “With tourism being one of the country’s leading revenue earners, our focus is to strengthen our tourism policing capabilities to support the safety and security of visitors,” he expressed.
Tudravu also extended his appreciation to Denarau Corporation Ltd, its management, and local hoteliers for their collaborative efforts to improve police presence on the island. These discussions emphasize a proactive approach to security in response to the area’s growing needs.
