Deftones Set to Rock South Florida: What to Expect from Their 2025 Tour!

Deftones, the influential nu-metal band, is planning to return to South Florida for the first time in eight years as part of their 2025 North American tour. The band has scheduled a concert at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on March 22, 2025, featuring opening acts Mars Volta and Fleshwater. Fans can participate in a presale opportunity from Wednesday, September 18, to Thursday, September 19, at 11:59 p.m. Tickets will officially go on sale on Friday, September 20, at 10 a.m.

This upcoming tour is not tied to new music, which aligns with the band’s extensive catalog of nine albums. Deftones have recently performed at major festivals, including Coachella and Lollapalooza, and demonstrated their enduring appeal by playing to a massive crowd of 50,000 alongside System of a Down at Golden State Park.

The band has gained significant attention, particularly from Gen Z audiences, partly due to the resurgence of the Y2K aesthetic on social media platforms. Their unique blend of shoegaze elements and expressive themes of love and melancholy is resonating with a fresh generation of fans. In 2023, Deftones were also featured in a collection by Marc Jacobs’ Heaven line, which showcased their album aesthetics.

Furthermore, several contemporary artists in the Opium label, such as Ken Carson and Destroy Lonely, have sampled Deftones’ music and expressed their admiration for the band’s influence. Given the band’s appeal, it’s expected that the shows will attract a diverse audience, including younger fans.

The full list of North American tour dates includes stops in cities like Portland, Seattle, Sacramento, and Chicago, concluding the tour in Boston on April 8, 2025.
