Debate Showdown: Harris vs. Trump in Philadelphia!

In just one week, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are set to face off in a pivotal debate at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. The highly anticipated 2024 presidential debate is scheduled for September 10 and will be hosted by ABC News.

Crews have been busy preparing the venue, with the Action Cam capturing the setup activities, which include transporting equipment, constructing television sets, and coordinating plans for the event. “It makes it real. I can’t believe it’s happening,” remarked Katie Lorenz from Brigantine, New Jersey.

6abc is playing a significant role in hosting the debate, and its team has been diligently working on the preparations for weeks. “We’re privileged to collaborate with the elite team of ABC News. 6abc is excited to be part of this event in our hometown of Philadelphia,” said Thomas Davis, Vice President and News Director of 6abc. Davis is deeply involved in the planning process, assisting ABC News with the necessary resources for this major event.

As the date approaches, meticulous attention is being given to ensure everything is in place. This includes inspections and testing, as the event will attract a global audience. Visitors from abroad, such as Deborah Thome from São Paulo, Brazil, expressed interest, noting that events in the U.S. have wider implications for countries like Brazil.

As the debate draws near, both candidates are sharpening their messages in the lead-up to the election, with a strong focus on influencing undecided voters. They are set to address key issues like the economy, immigration, and abortion, alongside discussions surrounding democracy and character.

John Kennedy, a West Chester University professor specializing in campaigns and elections, anticipates that the debate will be compelling television, particularly for undecided voters. “This may be the first time many of them tune into the campaign. The unpredictability is what makes it intriguing,” he explained.

The ABC News Presidential Debate, titled “Race for the White House,” will air live on September 10 at 9 p.m. and will be available for streaming on ABC News Live, Disney+, and Hulu.
