Marvel Rivals Season 6, titled “Night at the Museum,” is set to make waves with its official launch on January 16, 2026. This season, first revealed during The Game Awards 2025, is generating buzz with the introduction of fan-favorite Deadpool, who will be featured as a unique triple-role character combining aspects of a Duelist, Vanguard, and Strategist.

Leading up to the release, NetEase has shared early patch notes through its Dev Vision entry, giving players a sneak peek at crucial balance changes, gameplay tweaks, and new features. The upcoming season promises significant updates that enhance the gaming experience.

Among the highlights of the early patch notes, Deadpool will take center stage with his versatile abilities. Players can choose from his Duelist attributes, focusing on high damage output with dual pistols and swords, to his Vanguard role, which emphasizes survivability with shields. The Strategist aspect allows Deadpool to assist allies while dealing damage, emphasizing the character’s unique flair. A note of interest is that only one Deadpool can be selected per side in competitive play, preventing overwhelming team compositions.

NetEase has also detailed several buffs and nerfs aimed at restoring balance among various heroes. Buffed characters include Hulk, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Iron Fist, Blade, and Cloak & Dagger, while nerfs will affect Angela, Daredevil, Gambit, and Invisible Woman. Namor will undergo adjustments to reduce reliance on team-ups, strengthening his base abilities.

Exciting new team-ups will be featured this season, such as Peni Parker teaming up with Spider-Man and Deadpool teaming up with Jeff. These combos introduce new gameplay mechanics, enhancing strategic options for players. However, the ever-popular Ever-Burning Bond team-up between Human Torch and Spider-Man is set to retire, alongside Peni’s old association with Rocket Network.

In addition to team-up changes, a new map named Museum of Contemplation will launch on January 29, aimed at those who thrive in modes where teams contest moving objectives. Further updates to Times Square will include the introduction of a Photo Mode and the Clobberin’ Club, offering players a chance to participate in 1v1 duels.

The season also brings improvements to hero progression and rewards. A major upgrade to Hero Proficiency will be implemented, introducing higher caps and animated cosmetic rewards. Moreover, the Marvel Rivals Championship will enhance the reward pool, ensuring that even teams finishing in the qualifiers can earn valuable in-game currency and exclusive items.

Resource Rumble mode will be temporarily removed from the Quick Match, with plans for a rework to adapt it for 18v18 matches, which hints at NetEase’s commitment to continually refining gameplay.

As the community buzzes with anticipation for these updates, players can look forward to an enriched experience with more dynamic gameplay strategies and exciting new content in Marvel Rivals Season 6. Once the complete patch notes are available, further insights and adjustments will be shared to keep the community informed.
