The 2025 Dayal’s Sawmillers National Club Championship commences today, with matches scheduled across the Western and Southern zones, while the Northern zone will see its only game unfold tomorrow. Eleven clubs are competing for a chance to qualify for the national playoffs set for next week.
In the Western Zone, four teams will battle it out at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Ba, while six teams will clash in the Southern Zone at the Fiji FA Academy in Vatuwaqa, Suva. The Northern Zone features a crucial matchup on Saturday, where defending champions Labasa’s Northpole will face off against Taveuni’s Legend FC at the Bocalevu Primary School Ground.
From these matches, two teams from the West, three from the South, and one from the North will earn a spot in the national playoff, where the best club in Fiji will be determined. This year’s championship holds particular importance as Dayal’s Sawmillers has stepped in as the new naming-rights sponsor, adding a fresh layer of excitement to the tournament.
In Ba, the schedule includes Rays United versus Star Hospitality Delta Army at 1 PM, followed by Downtown FC taking on 4R FC at 3 PM. Meanwhile, in Suva, Lami Rangers will compete against Friends United at 1 PM, before Police FC faces off against Combine Verata FC.
