On the feast day of the Virgin of Guadalupe, David Bisbal expressed his deep devotion to her, recalling how she supported him during one of the most challenging moments of his life when he was in Mexico. He described a visit to her, where he prayed for strength and peace after the loss of a friend. Reflecting on that day, he recounted how the experience filled him with faith and comfort, allowing him to perform the next day despite his grief.
“I visited the Virgin of Guadalupe two years ago during a difficult time when a friend of mine passed away. On that day, I hoped she would assist me. The next morning, I had to perform with several colleagues on La Voz, and I somehow managed to sing even emotional songs like ‘Esta Ausencia.’ I remember the sky was overcast, but three beams of light broke through and offered me much support,” he shared.
In light of the celebration, Bisbal also introduced his new album titled “Todo es Posible en Navidad.” The album features classic holiday songs such as “El Burrito Sabanero” and “Los Peces en el río.” He described it as a tribute to an important festive occasion and a way to express gratitude to the countries that have embraced and supported him throughout his career. “This is my way of saying thank you, happy holidays!” he stated.
This heartfelt testimony not only illustrates Bisbal’s personal journey through grief and faith but also highlights the joy and unity found in music during the holiday season. His new album serves as a reminder of the power of connection and shared traditions, especially in these times when many seek comfort and community.
