Dave Coulier, the beloved actor known for his role in “Full House,” has disclosed that he has been diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The announcement came during an interview on the TODAY show, where Coulier opened up about his recent health challenges and symptoms leading to this diagnosis.
Coulier, who hails from St. Clair Shores and continues to reside in the area, shared that he had previously experienced swelling of his lymph nodes during illness. However, this time was different as he discovered a lump the size of a golf ball in his groin after feeling unwell. “It swelled up immediately,” he reflected, indicating that the sudden change prompted concern about his health.
Upon visiting his doctors, a series of tests and a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis of B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. “It was a shock,” he admitted, emphasizing the difficulty of receiving such news.
At 65 years old, Coulier is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment, which consists of six rounds every 21 days. He anticipates completing his treatment by February 2025. Discussing the emotional and physical roller coaster that comes with treatment, he remarked, “There are days where I feel unbelievable. Then there are other days where … I’m just going to lay down and let this be what it’s going to be.”
Despite the challenging road ahead, Coulier’s resilience shines through, and he is hopeful about his treatment journey. His openness about his diagnosis may not only help in raising awareness about lymphoma but also inspires others to seek medical advice when something feels off.
Ultimately, while this news is undoubtedly difficult for Coulier and his loved ones, his positive attitude and determination give reason for optimism as he navigates through his treatment.
