Da’Shawn Womack is set to pursue new opportunities in his college football career as he enters the transfer portal for a second time. After one season with Ole Miss, where he contributed significantly in the Rebels’ 2025 campaign, Womack is looking for a fresh start with a third team.
During his time at Ole Miss, Womack showcased his skills by participating in all 15 games and finishing the season with 27 total tackles, which included 14 solo stops, 4.5 tackles for loss, and two sacks. He also recorded a forced fumble, further demonstrating his defensive capabilities.
Prior to his stint with Ole Miss, Womack spent the initial two years of his college career at LSU. There, he played in 20 games during the 2023 and 2024 seasons but was primarily a rotational player without any starts. He accumulated 21 total tackles and 2.5 sacks, while also making an impact in pass defense with four breakups in 2024.
Coming out of St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Womack was a highly regarded recruit in the 2023 recruiting class, earning a notable rating as the No. 32 prospect nationally on the 247Sports Composite. With one full season of eligibility remaining, Womack is looking to build on his experience and performance in hopes of making a significant impact at his next destination.
With Womack’s talent and experience, his next chapter promises to be an exciting one, as he aims to find a program that will allow him to shine and further develop his skills on the field.
