Disney’s Hollywood Studios has relocated its Darth Vader meet and greet experience to a new outdoor setting near the iconic Star Tours attraction. With the closure of the Star Wars Launch Bay, the new setup is designed beneath the canopy of the Ewok Village, offering fans a distinct yet familiar atmosphere to interact with the dark lord himself.
Attendees are directed to the right side of the Star Tours area, akin to a journey towards the Tatooine Traders gift shop. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a Cast Member at the entrance of the meet and greet area. The experience remains largely unchanged from its previous format, with Darth Vader engaging with visitors amidst a setup that retains the Star Wars magic.
Simultaneously, Chewbacca has also undergone a transition from the Launch Bay to a more conventional queue arrangement in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This change was observed over the summer, indicating a thoughtful reorganization of character interactions perhaps to enhance visitor experience and address logistical considerations like weather.
These new arrangements keep the Star Wars spirit alive, allowing fans to continue their encounters with beloved characters in settings that reflect the saga’s adventurous essence.
