Pokemon Go is set to enter an exciting phase with its upcoming “Dark Skies” event, announced during the recent Pokemon Presents presentation. This event will kick off on August 18 and conclude on August 24, culminating in a “Go Fest: Max Finale” over the weekend of August 23-24.
The event draws inspiration from the climax of the Pokemon Sword and Shield storyline, known as the “Darkest Day.” One of the highlights will be the introduction of Eternatus, the legendary Pokemon from the base game, which will be making its debut in Pokemon Go as part of the “Go Pass: Max Finale.” This offering will be available to all trainers at level 13 and above, starting on Monday at 10 AM.
The weekend festivities promise thrilling encounters with “Crowned Forme” Zacian and Zamazenta, as trainers will have the opportunity to participate in raid battles against them. Additionally, players can engage in Gigantamax Raid battles featuring the “Eternamax” form of Eternatus. Throughout the week, every Dynamax Pokemon currently available will be accessible, with all 13 of the released “Gigantamax” Pokemon set to become available during the weekend event. Notably, Butterfree will make its Gigantamax debut in Pokemon Go shortly before this event, on August 3.
This dynamic event not only enriches the gameplay for Pokemon enthusiasts but also creates a sense of community as trainers gear up for exciting challenges together. With the variety of Pokemon involved, including iconic legendaries and Gigantamax forms, the “Dark Skies” event is poised to be a captivating experience for all players as they immerse themselves in the evolving world of Pokemon Go.
