Alba Hurup Larsen has been officially announced as the fifth driver for the 2025 F1 ACADEMY season, where she will compete under the banner of Tommy Hilfiger, the series’ official partner. This exciting announcement comes on the heels of her recent success as the winner of the 2023 FIA Girls on Track Rising Stars programme.
The young Danish racer made her debut in single-seater racing earlier this year, participating in the Indian F4 Championship. Hurup Larsen will celebrate her 16th birthday just before the start of her first season in the F1 ACADEMY, a significant milestone as she embarks on this new chapter in her racing career.
She will be donning a striking Tommy Hilfiger-branded racing suit and will drive a car that showcases the brand’s iconic red, white, and blue color palette.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Hurup Larsen stated, “I’m deeply honored that Tommy has entrusted me to fly his flag in the F1 ACADEMY. Having this support at such a pivotal stage in my career means the world to me. I’m excited to represent the Tommy Hilfiger brand as we dream big, show what’s possible and drive change.”
Alba’s journey is emblematic of the increasing support and opportunities for young female drivers in motorsport, marking a hopeful future where talent can shine regardless of gender. Her participation in the F1 ACADEMY showcases not just her individual prowess but also signifies a shift towards more inclusive representation within the racing community.
This positive development holds promise for the future of motorsport, as it encourages young athletes, particularly women, to pursue their ambitions in a traditionally male-dominated sport.
