Artem Chigvintsev, a professional dancer from “Dancing with the Stars,” has been arrested on domestic violence charges in Napa County, California, as reported by TMZ.
The 42-year-old was taken into custody on Thursday morning at around 10 a.m. He has been booked under California penal code 273.5(a), which pertains to the unlawful injuring of a spouse, cohabitant, or fellow parent. His bail is set at $25,000, and he was released later that same day at 2:18 PM PT.
Although it remains unconfirmed, reports suggest that Chigvintsev’s spouse is Nikki Garcia, a former WWE wrestler also known as Nikki Bella.
Following his arrest, authorities released a mug shot showing Chigvintsev in a brown button-down shirt with a green plaid collar, staring directly at the camera against a gray backdrop.
Chigvintsev’s arrest occurred shortly after Garcia shared a heartfelt video montage on Instagram celebrating their anniversary on August 27. The montage featured clips from their relationship set to Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” alongside a caption expressing her deep feelings for Chigvintsev. In a similar vein, Chigvintsev had also wished her a happy anniversary on Instagram, stating she is his everything.
The couple first met in 2017 when they were partnered on “Dancing with the Stars,” confirming their relationship in March 2019. They became engaged eight months later and welcomed their son, Matteo, in July 2020.
