“Dak Prescott Makes NFL History with Record-Breaking Contract!”

The Dallas Cowboys have finalized a four-year, $240 million contract with quarterback Dak Prescott, making him the highest-paid player in the history of the NFL, as reported by various sources. The contract includes $231 million in guaranteed funds, with ESPN being the first to break the news.

Prescott was approaching the final year of his previous contract, and the lengthy negotiations concluded with him securing the most lucrative deal in the league, which averages $60 million per season.

Just hours after the agreement was reached, Prescott helped the Cowboys secure a 33-17 victory against the Cleveland Browns in their season opener.

At 31 years old, Prescott was chosen in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL draft and is entering his ninth season with the Cowboys. He has a professional record of 73 wins and 41 losses, though he has struggled in the playoffs with a 2-5 postseason record.

Last year, Prescott achieved personal bests in completions with 410 and touchdowns with 36, passing for a total of 4,516 yards while only throwing nine interceptions. Despite leading Dallas to a 12-5 record during the regular season, the Cowboys were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Green Bay Packers.

This signing comes shortly after CeeDee Lamb, Prescott’s top receiver, also signed a new contract, marking a significant offseason for the Cowboys as both players are now committed to the team through 2028.
