Dafne Keen and Saara Chaudry Join Percy Jackson Season 3 as Artemis and Zoë Nightshade
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is rounding out its Season 3 cast with two high-profile additions. Dafne Keen has landed a recurring role as Artemis, the Greek goddess of the hunt and the moon, while Saara Chaudry will play Zoë Nightshade, Artemis’s loyal lieutenant.
Keen and Chaudry bring notable experience to the Disney+ series. Keen is widely known for her breakout as Laura/X-23 in Logan and later appearances in Deadpool and Wolverine, with further work on Disney+’s The Acolyte. Chaudry has appeared on Disney+ projects including The Muppets Mayhem and The Mysterious Benedict Society.
Artemis’s official bio describes her as preferring the outdoors to Olympus’s politics and formality. Her immortal Hunters are her constant companions, and she has little contact with mortals, making her a bit out of touch with modern human culture. Artemis is regal and a formidable fighter who will face grave challenges. Zoë Nightshade is described as Artemis’s loyal lieutenant and first among the immortal Hunters, having stood by Artemis for more than 2,000 years. She is a strong warrior, often overly serious, but crucial to any quest and willing to sacrifice for the greater good.
Keen and Chaudry join a Season 3 lineup that already includes Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, who will portray Nico di Angelo and Bianca. Season 2, which is currently in production in Vancouver, stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn and Daniel Diemer. Season 2 will adapt The Sea of Monsters, following Percy as he ventures into the mythical sea to save Grover and seek the Golden Fleece to protect Camp Half-Blood.
The series is created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, with executive producers including Steinberg and Dan Shotz, alongside Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and others.
A note on timing: Season 3’s casting news comes as Season 2 is slated to premiere on December 10, and production on Season 3 is already underway in Vancouver. The announcements reflect the show’s ongoing effort to bring the Titan’s Curse arc to life, expanding the world with familiar mythic figures and new dynamics for the demigod ensemble.
Summary: The addition of Dafne Keen as Artemis and Saara Chaudry as Zoë Nightshade strengthens Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 3, aligning with the Titan’s Curse storyline and bringing actors with rich experience in action-fantasy and Disney properties. The show continues to expand its cast ahead of its next chapter, building toward a larger, mythic-scale season. Positive outlook: the new characters promise exciting quest-driven moments and deeper mythic lore for fans.
