Chris Grano, host of Naper Bites, expressed the desire for a night out beyond the usual family activities. “Being a dad in Naperville can’t be all about soccer games and PTL meetings. Sometimes, I want a night out on the town,” he shared. He highlighted the growing dining scene on Route 59, with The Matrix Club at its heart. “If you want performing arts, whether it be theater, dance, or visual art, they’ve got it all,” he added.
Executive Chef Alonso Beckford emphasizes cultural representation in their menu. “One of the many things that we try to do is represent cultures very well throughout the food that we have,” he explained. This commitment starts with their small plates, which include offerings such as samosas and Korean fried chicken.
The menu also features delightful fusion dishes, like sweet corn and poblano ravioli. “It’s pretty much a spin of an elote,” Beckford noted. “I try to build all the flavors together in one pan so that it adds that corn flavor to the ravioli.”
Desserts also play a significant role in their offerings. “We have our beautiful white chocolate and raspberry bread pudding,” Beckford shared. This dish is made with brioche bread and topped with white chocolate and raspberry sauces, fresh raspberries, and whipped cream—showcasing their dedication to quality and creativity.
