Steve Angel previously served as CEO of Praxair from 2007 until its merger with Linde in 2018, and later as CEO of the combined entity until 2022. The merger of Linde AG and Praxair under his guidance created the world’s largest industrial gases and engineering company.
Angel’s career began at General Electric, where he gained operational insights working directly with locomotive and rail operations, which will be crucial in his new role at CSX.
