Bitcoin saw a modest recovery on Monday morning, rising by 0.29% and trading around $57,000.
The leading cryptocurrency had fallen to $55,000 on Friday as the defunct crypto exchange Mt. Gox started repaying its creditors in Bitcoin worth billions of dollars, causing a significant sell-off by the creditors. Despite the recent uptick, Bitcoin remains over 8% below its high from last week.
