Rocker Tommy Lee and his wife, Brittany Furlan, experienced a frightening incident when a coyote attacked their dog outside their home in the San Fernando Valley, California.
In a video shared by Furlan, their two dogs are seen by the backyard pool when a coyote suddenly appears and grabs their 10-year-old long-haired English cream dachshund, Neena. The coyote attempted to escape over a back wall while holding Neena, but Furlan quickly pursued it.
Furlan successfully climbed the wall and managed to pull Neena from the coyote’s grasp, expressing her relief on social media. “Neena is safe,” she wrote. “I climbed up the wall and grabbed her out of its mouth. Thank God she’s a little bit fat because he couldn’t make it over the wall with her.”
Tommy Lee was inside the house during the incident, and he rushed outside after hearing Furlan’s screams, only to find that she had already rescued Neena. The coyote fled the scene.
Furlan mentioned that this was the first time they had encountered a coyote in their backyard, which has a 10-foot wall. She decided to post the video on her Instagram, which has over 2 million followers, to encourage others to remain alert and protect their pets from similar dangers.
