Rocker Tommy Lee and his wife, Brittany Furlan, experienced a frightening incident when a coyote attacked their dog outside their San Fernando Valley home in California.
In a video shared by Furlan, the couple’s two dogs were playing near their backyard pool when a coyote suddenly appeared and grabbed Neena, their 10-year-old long-haired English cream dachshund. The coyote attempted to escape by jumping over a back wall, but Furlan quickly pursued the animal.
Furlan managed to scale the wall and successfully retrieved Neena from the coyote’s grasp. “Neena is safe,” she wrote in her post. “I climbed up the wall and grabbed her out of its mouth. Thank God she’s a little bit fat because he couldn’t make it over the wall with her.”
Tommy Lee was inside the house at the time and rushed out upon hearing Furlan’s cries. Fortunately, by the time he arrived, Furlan had already rescued Neena, and the coyote had fled the scene.
Furlan, who works as an actress and comedian, stated that they had never encountered a coyote in their backyard before, especially one that could leap over a 10-foot wall. She decided to share the alarming footage on her Instagram account, which boasts over 2 million followers, to raise awareness and encourage others to remain cautious about the safety of their pets.
