Charlie Coyle is making headlines in the NHL once again as he has been traded from the Colorado Avalanche to the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Avalanche announced the transaction on Friday, which sees Coyle and teammate Miles Wood heading to Columbus. In return, Colorado receives a 2025 third-round NHL Draft pick, a conditional second-round pick in 2027, and forward Gavin Brindley.
Coyle previously joined the Avalanche from the Boston Bruins during the trade deadline, in exchange for forward Casey Mittelstadt, prospect Will Zellers, and a 2025 second-round draft choice. The 33-year-old forward had an impressive performance during the 2024-25 season, recording a total of 17 goals and 35 points in 83 games played across both seasons.
