In 2025, Pickens had a standout season, leading the Cowboys in several categories with 137 targets, 93 receptions, 1,429 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns. This impressive performance may lead Pickens to seek a contract comparable to, if not greater than, the four-year, $136 million extension CeeDee Lamb received, which includes $100 million guaranteed.
Despite the uncertainties surrounding Pickens’ future, Schottenheimer expressed a desire to retain the talented receiver beyond the 2026 season.
