Costco has announced a change that will benefit executive members of its membership program, allowing them to start their shopping earlier. This new policy will be implemented on June 30, as shared via the company’s social media platforms.
Under the updated schedule, all Costco stores will open at 9 a.m. for executive members, granting them a one-hour head start to shop until 10 a.m., when doors will open for all other members. For Saturdays, executive members will receive a slightly shorter window, with shopping available from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
The adjustments apply from Sunday through Friday, and regular membership holders will still be able to enter the stores at 10 a.m. during the week and 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
The executive membership at Costco comes with significant perks, such as an annual 2% reward on eligible purchases, discounts on select Costco services, the ability to shop both online and in-store, and two membership cards, all under a 100% satisfaction guarantee. While the executive membership is priced higher, it offers enhanced rewards compared to the standard Gold Star Membership, which lacks the 2% reward and service discounts.
Costco operates 34 locations across Washington State, with eight situated in King County, including popular sites in Covington, Federal Way, Issaquah, Kirkland, Seattle, Aurora, Tukwila, and Woodinville. Notably, the Issaquah and Federal Way locations rank among the largest Costco stores nationwide, indicating their vital role within the regional retail landscape.
This new initiative not only enhances the shopping experience for executive members but also reflects Costco’s commitment to providing added value through membership benefits. With the continued expansion and improvement of services, Costco remains a competitive player in the wholesale retail market, fostering customer loyalty and satisfaction.
