A military appreciation event is set to honor all veterans and their spouses in Coshocton County on Saturday, November 15, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event, organized by the Blue Star Mothers and the Coshocton Salvation Army, will take place at The Salvation Army located on Chestnut Street.
Veterans and their spouses are invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast, featuring sausage gravy, biscuits, scrambled eggs, orange juice, and coffee. This gathering aims not only to celebrate the contributions of veterans but also to foster a sense of community among attendees.
The event will feature John Fletcher as the guest speaker. A former Marine who served for four years and later retired as a staff sergeant in the Army National Guard, Fletcher brings a wealth of experience, having served in both Vietnam and during Desert Shield.
Additionally, attendees can explore a military display showcasing various elements of military history, including the World War II panels previously exhibited on the courthouse lawn. Guests are encouraged to enter The Salvation Army’s gym through the Chestnut Street entrance and to bring nonperishable food donations to support local efforts.
This event reflects a strong commitment to honoring those who have served, highlighting the importance of community and remembrance in our society.
