NBC Chicago will provide a live feed of evening and primetime speeches from the Democratic National Convention (DNC) each day from Monday to Thursday.
Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff are set to speak at the DNC on Tuesday night, where they will discuss the vision of an administration led by party nominee Vice President Kamala Harris. Pritzker has been actively promoting the convention, appearing on various cable news networks and featuring in a segment on “The Daily Show,” where he enjoyed drinks in Lake View.
During his speech, Pritzker will address Illinois’ economic situation under his leadership and outline the potential achievements of a Harris-Walz administration. Emhoff, who has advocated for family support programs within the Biden-Harris Administration, will likely focus on family issues, including universal family leave and access to reproductive health care.
Pritzker is expected to deliver his remarks around 8 p.m., paving the way for Emhoff, who will speak afterward, setting the stage for former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama to conclude the evening at the United Center.
NBC Chicago will continue to live stream speeches from the convention, with coverage available on NBC 5 Chicago News 24/7 Streaming channel and online through NBCChicago.com and Telemundochicago.com. The streaming window for Tuesday is scheduled from 5:30 to 10 p.m.
