Conner Leavitt has emerged as a beloved figure in the world of “Dancing With the Stars” thanks to his unwavering support for his wife, Whitney Leavitt. Each week, as Whitney competes for the prestigious Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy, Conner is front and center, dressed in themed T-shirts and costumes, cheering her on. His heartfelt TikToks, where he often expresses his pride and admiration for Whitney, have resonated with fans. Following a recent performance, Conner couldn’t hold back tears as he shared his pride for Whitney, stating, “Sedona’s gonna grow up believing that no dream is too big. Whitney, this feels like the start of something massive for you.”
As excitement builds, Conner will join Whitney and her professional partner, Mark Ballas, on stage for Dedication Night on October 14. Many viewers first met Conner in the reality series “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” where he made a lasting impression, garnering a fan following despite not being a contestant on the dance floor himself.
Conner and Whitney’s love story began when they started dating in 2015, having met years earlier during Whitney’s mission trip to Georgia. They reconnected on a serendipitous double date, which eventually blossomed into a loving relationship, culminating in their marriage in August 2016. They recently celebrated their ninth anniversary, reflecting on their journey together. Whitney expressed her feelings on Instagram, stating, “Through everything we’ve faced, we’ve always come out stronger, side by side.”
Professionally, Conner works at a hedge fund with management based in Dubai, allowing him the flexibility to work from home. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University.
Together, the couple shares three children. Their eldest daughter, Sedona, made her debut in the DWTS audience during the October 7 episode, and their son, Liam, was born in December 2021. Liam faced health challenges early on due to RSV, which drew unwarranted criticism toward Whitney when she shared a TikTok video during his hospitalization. Despite the backlash, she emphasized the importance of finding joy during difficult times. Their newest addition, son Billy Gene, is set to arrive on October 24, 2024. Whitney humorously declared, “I’m out, girl. I’m all babied out,” indicating that they are done expanding their family.
The couple has faced their share of challenges, notably when Conner revealed his struggle with pornography addiction during the first season of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.” He candidly admitted that this issue affected their marriage and expressed remorse for the pain it caused Whitney. Whitney has stood firmly by Conner’s side through all trials, defending their relationship against speculation and affirming their strong bond.
Conner also opened up about being a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, emphasizing that although these experiences shaped difficult behaviors, they do not define who he is today. He highlighted the significance of growth, resilience, and mutual support in overcoming adversity.
If you or someone you know is a survivor of sexual assault, support is available through the Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network’s National Helpline at 1-800-656-HOPE (4673). In emergencies, always call 911.
As “Dancing With the Stars” continues its 34th season, the resilience and heartfelt support between Conner and Whitney serve as a testament to their enduring love story. The show airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+. For fans looking back on two decades of dance, TV Guide Magazine’s 20th Anniversary special issue of “Dancing With the Stars” is available for purchase.
