It’s a beautiful place, you know, and a lot of beautiful homes up there.”
Evacuation orders remain crucial as flames draw closer, with an evacuation center established at a church in nearby Veyo. The smoke is so prominent that it can be seen from as far away as St. George, located 15 miles from the epicenter of the fire.
