Commanders Hope McLaurin, Brown Return After Practice Ahead of Week 13 Broncos Showdown

Washington Commanders fans have reasons to celebrate as significant offensive players Terry McLaurin and Noah Brown participated fully in Thursday’s practice session. McLaurin, who is dealing with a quad injury, and Brown, who has been recovering from groin and knee issues, were both limited participants the previous day, marking a promising step forward as they prepare for Week 13.

McLaurin’s quad injury has troubled him since Week 3 when he first sustained it against the Las Vegas Raiders and further aggravated it during a sideline catch in Week 8 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Meanwhile, Brown has been sidelined since suffering a groin injury in Week 2 against the Green Bay Packers, leading to his placement on injured reserve in October.

Despite their current 3-8 record, the Commanders have a chance to influence the NFC East standings as they face off against the Giants, Eagles, and Cowboys in a tight nine-day window this December. This could be a crucial moment for the team to address their performance issues and possibly turn their season around.

This season, McLaurin has recorded 13 receptions for 203 yards and one touchdown, while Brown has contributed with three receptions totaling 36 yards. Their potential return in time for the game against the formidable Denver Broncos—a team recognized for its strong defensive strategy—could significantly bolster the Commanders’ chances.

In addition to McLaurin and Brown, other team members such as running back Chris Rodriguez Jr., long-snapper Tyler Ott, and wide receiver Chris Moore were also limited or absent on Wednesday but participated in Thursday’s practice. However, there are some injury concerns as wide receiver Treylon Burks, quarterback Jayden Daniels, defensive end Drake Jackson, wide receiver Jaylin Lane, and linebacker Frankie Luvu remain limited participants and are questionable for their upcoming matchup.

On the Broncos’ side, concerns include linebacker Jonah Elliss, who participated in a limited capacity due to a hamstring issue, and tight end Nate Adkins, who did not participate because of a knee injury.

As the Commanders prepare for this decisive stretch of games, the hopeful return of key players could provide the momentum they need to compete more effectively in the NFC East and make the remainder of the season exciting for their fans.
