COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fire crews in Colorado Springs reported no injuries after a small plane made an emergency landing on the southbound side of Powers Boulevard early Wednesday morning, October 1. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. just north of Barnes Road.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department confirmed that three people were on board the aircraft at the time of the emergency landing, and it is fortunate that none were injured. A photograph shared by CSFD showed the small plane positioned on its side along Powers Boulevard, exhibiting significant damage.

During the incident, firefighters discovered a fuel leak from the aircraft and are actively engaged in efforts to contain it. The emergency response has led to traffic disruptions in the area, with the two right lanes of Powers Boulevard currently closed, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
