On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2025 Academic All-America® teams for women’s soccer, recognizing two standout athletes from the Colorado School of Mines for their exceptional academic and athletic achievements. Amber Rouse and Hannah Lundgren have earned their places among the nation’s elite student-athletes, with Rouse receiving her second Academic All-America® recognition as a First Team selection, while Lundgren has been honored as a Third Team Academic All-America® for the first time.
With their selections, Rouse and Lundgren become the 215th and 216th Academic All-America® honorees from Mines, and the 20th and 21st from the women’s soccer program. Since 2020, the women’s soccer team has consistently produced at least one Academic All-America® selection each year, and this marks the third consecutive year with dual selections.
Rouse graduated in May 2025 with a degree in Applied Mathematics & Statistics, achieving an impressive 3.98 GPA. Currently, she is pursuing graduate studies in Operations Research Nuclear Engineering. Recently named an All-American by both D2CCA and the United Soccer Coaches, Rouse made a significant impact on the field during her final season. As the RMAC Defensive Player of the Year, she played a crucial role in all 21 matches, led the team with a total of 1,909 minutes played, and contributed five goals, three of which were game-winners. Her defensive prowess helped her team achieve a notable 0.76 GAA and secure nine shutouts. Rouse’s distinction as a multi-time Academic All-America® selection places her among an elite group within the program.
Lundgren, recognized as the 2025 RMAC Tournament Most Valuable Player, holds a 3.93 GPA while majoring in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering. Earlier this month, she was named an RMAC First Team All-Academic selection. The senior goalie from Coto de Caza, California, made a significant impression this season, ranking second among RMAC goalies in saves with a total of 83, the fifth-highest in a single season for the program. Over the course of 21 matches, Lundgren achieved six solo shutouts, maintaining a formidable 0.77 GAA and an .847 save percentage. Throughout her illustrious collegiate career, she amassed a 33-4-7 record with 16 shutouts, solidifying her place among the top players in program history.
