Colgate-Palmolive Fiji has announced a three-year partnership with Damodar City Suva and Labasa to enhance the annual Christmas Tree Lighting events, marking an expansion of the celebration into the Northern Division for the first time. The partnership, revealed during a media signing event in Suva, positions Colgate-Palmolive Fiji as the official partner for the festivities from 2025 through 2027.
Building on last year’s collaboration, this agreement signifies one of the longest corporate commitments to Fiji’s community holiday celebrations. Jyotika Devi, the Marketing Manager for Colgate-Palmolive Fiji, noted that the partnership aims to foster community unity and promote a festive spirit while also strengthening the company’s outreach in both Central and Northern divisions of Fiji.
The events will include family-friendly activities, giveaways, and entertainment. The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation has been designated as the official media partner for the series of tree lighting events, enhancing their visibility and community engagement.
The first tree lighting ceremony of this new partnership is set to take place later this month at Damodar City Suva, followed by another event in Labasa. Such initiatives not only spread festive cheer but also contribute to a sense of community, further emphasizing the positive impact of corporate responsibility during the holiday season.
Incorporating elements from previous events, including a focus on community engagement, this partnership showcases the potential for joy and togetherness that holiday celebrations bring to the regions they serve. With Colgate-Palmolive’s commitment to enhancing the festive spirit in Fiji, the anticipation builds for a truly memorable holiday season.
