Coldplay has announced a new leg of their Music of the Spheres world tour, set to hit North America next summer. The band recently released an album, Moon Music, which honors another celestial body, and will perform at several stadiums across the United States along with two shows in Toronto.
Tickets will be available to the general public starting at noon local time on Friday. Early access presales will begin at 9 a.m. that same day for fans who sign up in advance. More details can be found on Ticketmaster’s Coldplay page.
Additionally, the group is introducing “Infinity Tickets,” which will allow fans to attend their shows for just $20. These tickets will go on sale at noon local time on November 22.
Coldplay launched the Music of the Spheres tour in 2022, following the 2021 release of their album titled Music of the Spheres, subtitled Vol. I: From Earth with Love. The new album, officially named Music of the Spheres Vol. II: Moon Music, indicates an ongoing theme for the group, as they explore various celestial spheres.
This tour has also been noted for its environmental efforts, with the band reporting a 59 percent reduction in CO2e emissions compared to their previous 2016 and 2017 tours. They claim to have planted over 9 million trees worldwide as part of their sustainability initiatives, which are outlined on their website. The physical editions of the Moon Music album are produced from recycled plastic bottles.
Frontman Chris Martin shared in a recent Rolling Stone interview that after the release of the song “All My Love” from the Moon Music album, the band does not plan to launch additional singles. He expressed gratitude for the song, stating its significance reflects their feelings about life, the world, and their supporters.
